ROCKLAND — The Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA), 21 Winter St., invites artists of all ages to join its April Vacation ArtLabs with teaching artists Annie Bailey and Lisa Morgan, Monday through Thursday, April 18-21, from 10 o’clock. at noon. Participants will be inspired by the exhibition “Nicola López | Visions, Ghosts and Apparitions” and create a collection of printed papers to paste into dreamscapes. Play and experiment with layering in mixed media with two printmaking sessions and two days of mixed media collage.
Day 1 & 3: Printmaking — create a series of printed papers to apply to your dreamscapes, using block printing and mono printing.
Days 2 and 4: Mixed media collage — focus on cutting, folding, wrapping and gluing.

Dress for a mess: Sometimes mess happens because engraving materials include ink or paint. Dress for a mess just in case.
Bailey is a multimedia artist from Tenants Harbor. She has a degree in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and enjoys watercolor painting, sailing, building and dreaming.
Morgan is an architectural designer and artist with teaching experience for ArtLab at CMCA. Her home and studio are in Rockport where she paints and works with mixed media.
