KVIS launches a series of free concerts for children on July 12

The Kenmore Village Improvement Society kicks off the 11th year of the Franco’s Pizza Children’s Concert Series at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 on the lawn of Kenmore Middle School, 155 Delaware Road.

The free concert series will run for four consecutive Tuesdays until August 2. The first 200 children of the first concert will receive a free gift.

Organizers said dinner, drinks and desserts will be offered at family-friendly prices. Participants are requested to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Off-street parking will be available across the street at Kenmore United Methodist Church.

In case of rain, the concert is cancelled. The rain cancellation will be posted on the main KVIS Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KenmoreVillage.

“We are thrilled to begin the 11th season of our Franco’s Pizza children’s concert series,” said KVIS President Melissa Foster. “We are very grateful to all of our naming sponsors, Franco’s Pizza, for their support since the very first year, and for the support of all of our sponsors; we couldn’t do this series without them and sincerely thank them for their continued generosity and love for our community.

The first concert on July 12 is ‘Bee Bumble’ and features Mama Earth’s Kitchen Band performing songs about trees, bees and other pollinators. Singing and dancing is both welcome and encouraged.
