Magic Arena – How to Get Three Free Alchemy Horizons: Baldur’s Gate Boosters

Usually the splashiest Magic: The Gathering times of the year are reserved for legal versions of the standard set, but lately some special extra sets have also managed to steal the show. The latest drops of Secret Lair have been incredibly popular, and more recently Magic Arena released Horizon Alchemy: Baldur’s Gate to complement the growing format.

With each new digital release, it’s become a bit of a tradition for magic arena to offer special digital pre-release events with sealed and draft tournaments throughout this week. These events took place earlier this month when Baldur’s Gate was released, but there are still plenty of ways to use the new cards in tournaments and casual games.

Wizards of the Coast is ready to offer a preview and give players who want to try the set without a big investment a promotional offer. As with previous sets, the single-use promo code for Magic Arena will grant players three free packs when redeemed (once per account). Fans of the game can now claim their free Alchemy Horizons: Baldur’s Gate cards with the following promo code…

Play HBG

  • To redeem the code and claim the packs, players just need to go to the in-game Shop tab.
  • From this area, they should be able to find a Redeem Code field in the upper right corner.
  • Entering the case-sensitive “PlayHBG” code will add three packs of the new set to their collection.

Keep in mind that each of the “Play” codes can only be used once. Some of the older codes are still active, so players who haven’t claimed them yet should try each one out and see what still works.

PlayNEO – 3 Kamigawa Neon Dynasty Packs

PlayVOW – 3 Innistrad Midnight Hunt Packs

PlayMID – 3 Innistrad Night Hunt Packs

PlayKaldheim – 3 Kaldheim Packs

PlayZendikar – 3 Zendikar Rising Packs

PlayTheros – 3 Theros Beyond Death Packs

PlayIkoria – 3 packs Ikoria Lair of Behemoths

PLAYM21 – 3 core set 2021 packs

Magic fans are well aware that three packs won’t go very far in terms of earning enough new cards to build a legal constructed deck, but it’s still a tempting offer and entices players to tune in. Free packs arrive at the start of each set to attract new players and give dedicated players a small reward. Free packs do a good job of introducing more casual players to the general theme of a new set and, ideally for Wizards, can entice them to purchase entry to an upcoming event to see even more new cards.

Magic: The Gathering – Alchemy Horizons: Baldur’s Gate is available now on Magic Arena. Other Magic: The Gathering sets are available now at game stores or digitally in Magic Arena.
