Fulham, who lifted the EFL Championship last season to earn promotion to the Premier League, are seventh on the table and are unbeaten in their last four games, trailing Chelsea by two points for sixth place. City are the defending league champions but sit two points behind Arsenal at the top of the table.

City escaped on October 29 to Leicester City with a 1-0 win. Kevin De Bruyne scored the game’s only goal in the 49th minute. On Wednesday night at home, Cityzens stopped Sevilla 3-1 to win their UEFA Champions League group. City bombarded the Spanish side after half-time with goals from Rico Lewis, Julian Alvarez and Riyad Mahrez. The draw for the round of 16 is set for Monday.

Fulham drew 0-0 when they visited Everton on October 29 despite pressing the attack for much of the game. The Cottagers outscored their visitors 24-9 but only managed six shots on target. Fulham are 2-0-2 since losing at West Ham United on October 9.

Manchester City have won their last 12 meetings with Fulham and are unbeaten in the last 18, with the Cottagers’ last win in the series coming on April 12, 2009. City lead the game all-time 37-17-16. The teams met in the fourth round of the FA Cup last year, with City taking a 4-1 decision on February 5.
