Pokemon Go offers free items following Zorua issues

Pokemon Go Developer Niantic has released a free bundle in the in-game store to apologize to players for the issues with Zorua’s debut. The Pokémon was introduced during last month’s Shuppet Spotlight Hour, when it would appear in the field as the player’s partner Pokémon; when captured, he would reveal himself to be Zorua. However, an in-game glitch caused it to retain partner Pokemon’s stats and attacks. As a result, Niantic has imposed restrictions until a fix can be implemented, including preventing its use in Go Battle League. The patch is now live and these restrictions have been lifted.

“Trainers, we are updating stats and attacks that were mistakenly withheld by Zorua from Pokemon they impersonated during the Shuppet Spotlight Hour on October 25. Any Zorua that remained transformed due any issues with a Pokémon GO Plus or Poke Ball Plus will fall to Zorua,” the company wrote on Twitter. “As an apology, you can now claim a bundle of items from the in-game store for free. Restrictions on Zorua – including its use in the GO Battle League, trading and transferring to Pokémon HOME – have also been waived. Thank you for your patience.”

The bundle of items in question includes 20 Poke Balls, a Stardust, and a Lure Mod. Players can find it in the free section where the game’s daily free boxes are traditionally found. Players should note that the new freebie does not replace the normal freebie, so players will have two boxes to claim, if they don’t. have not already done.

Zorua works in Pokemon Go in a manner somewhat similar to Ditto. The main difference between the two is that Ditto will impersonate any Pokémon that can be found in the wild, while Zorua only disguises itself as the player’s partner Pokémon.
