high island will be the sixth expansion pack for The Elder Scrolls Online. Unlike previous storylines which relied on larger-than-life storylines tied to Daedric Princes and Vampire Lords, high island will focus on the political machinations of the game’s three factions, as they begin to negotiate an end to the Alliance War. Players will also be joined by two DLC companions on their journey, wizard Khajit Ember and Breton knight Isobel.
Creative director Rich Lambert commented on the difficulties he encountered when crafting a story that focused on unknown aspects of Breton society. “There’s really, there’s not much to the Breton tradition,” Lambert said. “There’s stuff and it’s kind of a hanger, but outside of that it’s never really been explored in depth or in detail. The challenge was to find new stuff that matched the tone and to the general atmosphere and sentiment of the Bretons and their culture.”
The Elder Scrolls Online is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, macOS and PC. The latest expansion pack The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle will launch on June 6 for Stadia, macOS, and PC, followed by a console release on June 21.
