Ricky Hatton predicts a Fury victory

Ricky Hatton announced this week that he will return to the ring for an exhibition bout against Marco Antonio Barrera in Manchester later this year. He predicts a complete victory for Fury:

“Let’s be clear, Dillian Whyte is not going to outrun Tyson Fury, he’s not going to outrun Tyson Fury.

“Tyson, for a 6-foot-10 giant, is so versatile. He showed in his last fight [against Deontay Wilder] and previous fights, that he can stand close and mix up. He can box left-handed, he can box orthodox, he can box from distance, he’s great defensively.

“So there’s no point in Dillian going out thinking he can send Tyson off because he can’t. He has to go for the knockout and try to get that big guy in. Tyson has been on his back a few times. Dillian will know he is capable of landing and beating Tyson.

“I think it all depends on what Tyson Fury reveals.

“Tyson has been fighting like a 6’10 Rocky Marciano lately. He wants to go to war and be in the trenches with everyone at the minute.

“For this fight, I think we’re going to see the old Tyson Fury a bit. Distance, you know, try to break Dillian up a bit. Let the storm die down for a bit, then come back in later turns.

“I think Dillian needs to go out there and go for the knockout because I can see him winning on points.”
