You can win a free air fryer at the High Point Festival this weekend

The High Point Public Library is hoping for sunny weather this weekend — more rain — when it hosts the 2022 Outdoor Community Festival in the library parking lot at 901 N. Main St. in High Point.

The afternoon festival will take place on Saturday, May 28, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The event will feature a variety of dancing, music, vendors, children’s activities and cultural performances.

And the price – absolutely free – is very nice right now when people are starting to faint in surprise every time they fill up on gas.

The outdoor festival – which is billed as fun for the whole family – will include performances from the Suah African Dance Theater and the Guilford Native American Association.

It will also include the famous High Point Rockers mascot “HYPE” and a charcoal drawing demonstration provided by Lester Felton.

Interestingly, tickets will be on sale for $1 for attendees to win an air fryer raffle. No indication was given as to how the library arrived at an air fryer as the grand prize for the afternoon.

No festival would be complete without food, and during the Community Festival on May 28, tasty items will be available for purchase from a Wingz and Thyngz food truck.

This event is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
